Jon Ruffer

I started practising Tai Chi in September 2004, primarily for health reasons (which you can read about here), it has been a central part of my life ever since. I cannot describe the joy it gives me to be in a park, a beach, a small room and practice my Tai Chi form. At the same time, there's nothing I love more than to throw someone or be thrown across a room (as anyone who's been around me and Will will tell you). San Shou, pushing hands and fencing really get me going and can also bring out the competitor in me.

Jon is urrently living and working in Berlin.

Berlin Training Schedule

The next Berlin Push Hands Practice is Sunday January 29th 2012 10:00-15:00 at Claudia's studio in Friedenau. We'll be reviewing jue shou, 4 hands and taking a look at the 5 section 2 person form.

Training History

Since attending my first class with Tai Chi Wisdom in 2008, practicing Tai Chi has enabled me to grow, become more confident and generally be more me! I study the full traditional Yang style Tai Chi curriculum with Simon and Cher, and I love how all the different elements inform and integrate with each other. I am enjoying the buzz of sharing what I know with beginners as part of the instructors course and finding the answers to their questions is a challenge that I relish.
