This class will study the traditional Yang Style long form, which creates a foundation for a deeper study of Tai Chi than the short forms allow. We know it as 'The 108' but, confusingly, it is counted in many different ways even though the 85, 88, 95, 103, 108, 125, 128 and 150 are essentially the same form! It takes around 25 - 40 minutes to complete.
If you have studied the long form before and would like to join the class then please contact Simon to discuss your prior experience.
If possible, it is recommended that you also attend the seminars this year with Sam Masich, starting with the final one on 4th - 6th November covering section 3. This workshop with a world renowned teacher also covers some of the underlying details and theories of movement which make this form unique. For a gallery of the first Saminar on the 108, please visit our gallery.
As this is a class for more advanced students, you will be expected to be practicing between sessions and to train regularly. Free weekend training is available to support this; we meet at a local park to train from 10.00-11.30pm on weekends that we are not teaching a course (please visit our calendar and click on 'Sunday Morning Training' for the current timetable and location).
Discounts are available when booking more than one class per week. Please contact us in the office for more information.
