| Sam Masich Yang Style Pushing Hands (Mar) |
|

From Friday, 26 March 2010 To Sunday, 28 March 2010

Sam Masich's visits to the UK for 2010 will focus on the partner exercise of Si Zheng Tui Shou, (the classical pushing hands method used in all styles of Tai Chi) which we began to look at last time he was here. We will practice the forward timing (where each of the energies is distinct) and the backward or 'park' timing as Sam calls it. With the backward timing we will also work through 8 changes of direction and begin studying moving step drills.
This is a fabulous opportunity to work with one of the foremost Tai Chi teachers in Europe at the moment, and especially so as it’s quite local.
Obviously, it will take most of his 3 visits (this March, June and November) for us to nail all of this, so Simon Robins will also be running support weekends and revision sessions throughout the year to help everyone stay on top of this material, to catch up and to join in. We also have an informal (free to students of our classes and seminars) Sunday morning practice to get together and play Tai Chi.
